DRVR Protocol

Didn't Read, Various Reasons — what real reading support looks like

What this lesson is about

DRVR stands for Didn't Read, Various Reasons. A text might be too long, too technical, or built on background you don't have yet, and asking AI to just summarise it is the weakest kind of reading support there is. In this session you paste in an article and the bot walks you through a structured, multi-layered analysis one section at a time, pausing between each one so you actually read it. It covers a plain-language summary, the main claims and the evidence behind them, counterarguments, the single most important line, key terms, why the text matters, and one honest question it leaves open.

One thing to keep in mind throughout: nothing replaces reading. DRVR is a tool that makes the reading you do more informed, not a shortcut around it. It gives you the map, but reading the text yourself is the territory.
