The constraint is where creativity begins
Most people think brainstorming means throwing out as many ideas as possible with no limits. Designers and engineers know the opposite often works better: a hard constraint, a weight limit or a tight budget, is where the real creativity starts. Today you pick a real design challenge and work it through with AI as your partner, following the design arc, state a vivid constraint, hit a wall when the obvious idea fails, reframe the problem, and discover a better solution. AI checks the numbers and surfaces what you missed. You decide what matters.
Two of the club's commandments matter a lot today. AI is trying to please you, so left unchallenged it tends to validate your design rather than stress-test it, and you have to actively ask it to find the flaws. AI can also give accurate but dangerously outdated information, citing a real source that is decades old. Watch for both.
